Executive Coach Bob Olmstead | Shattering Convention
My humanity as an executive coach. My mental workshop as an executive coach. My creative fuel as an executive coach.
It all begins with strong cup of coffee. Dark roast.
Or perhaps a nice Malbec or bourbon. A weathered journal. Great atmosphere. A cool coffee house. Then I just disappear. My imagination takes over. And that’s when the magic happens. That’s when I find the big game changers.
- The powerhouse CEO that reclaims her humanity.
- The burnt out executive that finds passion again.
- The Mom & Pop brand that takes the world by storm.
- The overwhelmed start-up that gets focused and effective.
- The heartfelt therapist that gets good at business.
- The professional creative that unlocks the full might of his brand.
People first. Relationships first. Always.
You can tell a lot about an executive coach by the process that anchors them. Do they merely preach accountability? Quote other people’s gems? Or do they have a language and wisdom all their own? To understand my Secret Sauce is to hear my story.
My Story | The Cliff Notes Version
I was born into a family obsessed with show business. In fact, my godfather and namesake worked for Paramount Studios for almost thirty years. But all was not well in Tinsel Town. My family was a broken mess. When most kids were wrapping up high school, I was out on my own, fighting just to survive. It was incredibly tough.
But that’s only where the story begins.
The adversity I faced cemented an intense desire to succeed. Whatever was required, I did it. And that fire remains to this day. Nudging me. Challenging me. Daring me to follow my passions. Which continues to shape who I am as an artist, teacher and executive coach. I get the highs and lows because I’ve lived them.
Here is the big takeaway.
I get life and leadership, visionary thinking, like few people you’ll ever meet. And my references will back that up. I see the things no one else sees. I care more than most coaches think wise. And I make the big stuff happen.
Being an executive coach is about rapidly getting to the bottom line issues. Being an executive coach is about helping leaders and creatives unlock their full potential. But more than anything else, being an executive coach is about helping people.
