Stop Trying To Be Rich & Famous
The dude on YouTube drives up in a $100,000 car and proclaims, you, too, can be a millionaire! Just buy his system. And you don’t even have to bring anything to the table.
You can “with integrity” lie about being an expert, or you can lie about being an international best selling author by using “X” technique. It reminds me of snake oil salesman.
To be clear, you have a better statistical chance of getting hit by lighting AND then winning the lottery, than this dude’s “system” ever working for you. Or for anyone else. Hey, here are some fun facts! Big Bang fans? Anyone?
The vast majority of millionaires drive Fords. In fact, it takes the average self-made millionaire (32) years to become a millionaire. 80% are fifty years of age or older. Or those darn pesky facts.
And then there is the assumption that being a millionaire is going to solve all your problems. I’ve coached millionaires, that’s simply not true. The happiest people I know, typically, are of average means, doing what they love.
There are a few exceptions. But all in all, it’s not money that fills the cup. Don’t buy the hype.
Find the spark that you would climb Everest for, not the gimmick, not the silver bullet. Find the spark that will fuel you as a person and as a business owner. Invest in the things and experiences that truly feed you, get good at that!
